Who I am

I am an artist who works mainly in oils on canvas.  I live in rural Eastern Kansas where I am continually inspired by the animals we share our lives with, as well as regional scenes of the Kansas River and surrounding landscapes and cloudscapes.   

My History

I received a BFA from the University of Kansas waaay back sometime during the 20th century.  I have painted throughout my adult working years, but retired officially this past April, the day after my 60th birthday,  in order to paint full time.  Cats and horses, especially, are my muses, as well as the Kansas River as seen from the Lecompton Bridge.
